Celebrate and set intentions for the new year with a heart centred cacao ceremony and restorative ambient electronic music experience guided by the principles of sound therapy and music medicine, led by Louis Parker.

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join us for an immersive cacao ceremony and meditative sound journey with musician and sound engineer Louis Parker, who has spent the past 6 years devoted to exploring the healing power of sound. His work is rooted in the emerging field of music medicine—a practice now gaining international medical recognition. Recent studies show that sound and music can activate the body’s restorative systems, even increasing oxygen uptake in red blood cells after just 20 minutes of exposure.
Through live ambient electronic music, Louis weaves together Solfeggio frequencies, 432Hz tuning, tuning forks, and traditional healing instruments like the medicine drum and harmonium, creating a deeply therapeutic sonic landscape.
The evening begins with a heart opening cacao ceremony to set intentions for the new year and connect deeply within yourself. Following will be a short talk on the science and philosophy behind sound therapy, followed by a heart-centered guided meditation. From there, you’ll be invited to lie down, relax, and journey inward through sound.
This event will be gently supported by Louis’ partner Mayra, who will provide Dutch translation as needed.

WHAT TO BRING :
Meditation cushions and blankets are present but we recommend that you bring your own if you prefer. Also please bring anything that makes you most comfortable, warm socks, comfortable clothes, a hot water bottle or anything that makes you feel extra safe and cozy. Like an extra mat or blanket for a softer surface etc. Tea and light snacks will be provided at the end.
NOTES ABOUT CACAO:
Cacao is a gentle, heart-opening plant medicine. It can have both calming and energizing effects, which vary per person and moment but are generally subtle. Don’t worry - this isn’t choco-bliss or anything that will have you seeing unicorns and gnomes ;) it’s more like a warm hug for your heart.
CAUTION:
If you use MAO-based antidepressants, have high blood pressure or heart conditions, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before participating. If you prefer not to drink cacao, that’s absolutely fine - we will provide a chai tea alternative, just let us know on the day.

- If the event is rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, you can choose to keep your registration or request a refund.
