Feeling free with your body every week a little bit more! While dancing on the different styles of African music.
IT'S ALL ABOUT ENERGY, ENJOYMENT & CONNECTION.
We connect. We encourage eachother. We are open. We are growing. We are becoming one with the music, your own feelings and your body. We will be playful. We will have a lovely group feeling in 8 weeks where we can share. We will learn the tip of the iceberg of the beautiful African Dance Styles. ..... We. enjoy. dancing. toghether.

" It's a safe space to connect with each other and with our own bodies and personal goals, guided by the groove of African music.
We learn, we talk, we move, we explore what our bodies and our mind can do. We discover beautiful tunes, diverse traditions and empowering moves from Azonto to Coupe Decale, to Afro house. We honor the stories behind the dance, while looking for our own story to tell. We learn given dance moves and we make up our own in a journey of self discovery and expression. "

AFRICAN DANCE STYLES
We dance different African Street Styles. I will mostly take you into the world of Azonto, the Streetstyle from Ghana. Further on you will learn steps from different African Modern and West-African Traditional styles, the one that i've learned so far.

Dance steps: foundations & knowledge (story, makers, creators, ancestors)
- FREE FLOW
Musicality, playfulness,, different exercises to explore and.. CONNECTION with each other)

Do you want to follow this in stead of going to a standard choreo dance class?

Why am I doing it this way?
I'm so passionate to teach and to share the beauty of a the African dancestyles and the music culture. Also the beauty of dancing together (with all mixed levels and ages) and the beauty of being in a group... If we are in a fixed group and dive into it together for 8 weeks we can make so much progress, enjoyment, get to know each other and yourself, we can go into the depth and GROW AND ENJOY THE FULLEST. We can share, we can be vulnerable and powerful at the same time. I've done it now multiple courses and I loveee this way and the progress everyone is making, so i'm down and ready to go for more and more and dive deeper.

If you have done a course already: You will keep learning, make progress on so many levels and train embodiment. So keep joining! Forever learning. Take example of Cecilia, she joined 9 courses so far)

SUMMARY:
- Tuesdays
- Different African dance styles & music styles.
- Data: 12 may - 7 july (!! No class on 16-06)
- 18:30 - 20:15
- Beatrixpark. With rain we'll dance in the studio: Brouwersgracht 140D
- All levels
- It is included a drink (thee / limonade) afterwards together (When we dance at the studio)
- in the middle of the course we will eat together afterwards.
- Also chilling als talking beforehand and afterwards in the "livingroom"
