À propos de cet événement
We mainly think of grief as something one experiences after going through a major loss, such as the loss of someone you loved dearly and who was an important part of your life. A partner, a spouse, a best friend, a family member. This is one way, but grief can show up in other ways too which we usually don't consider as grief.
Grief could come from having your dreams broken, like not landing that perfect job or not being selected for project. It could come from unexpected bad news, like a terminal illness or a miscarriage. It could also come from "smaller" occasions like breaking a vase you once held dear, or even dropping an ice-cream as a child.
Society usually tells us to shove our uncomfortable feelings way down where no one can see it, hoping that they will eventually go away. Unfortunately, that's simply not how it works. Grief gets stored in the body and in the nervous system. When left unattended for too long, it can show up in other ways such as exhaustion, irritability, brain fog and even chronic illnesses. It can be the invisible stress that seeps into your life, causing distance in your relationships, draining the joy from everyday things, feeling constantly overwhelmed.
Grief is one of the the most painful and complex experiences someone can go through, specially alone. It's no wonder that our natural instinct is to avoid it. Here, you don't have to do that.
We created this space so that you can stop, slow down and gently feel what's alive below the surface. What you have been carrying in your system, perhaps longer than you might be aware of. When we let go of grief, it creates space in your system. You feel more connected to yourself, and others. Colour starts to come back into an otherwise grey and dull life. I guide you in this process through the power of music, mindfulness and medicine (an optional microdose of truffles) so that you can finally get to feel it, acknowledge it, see it for what it is, and perhaps let go of some of it so that you can feel lighter, whole and alive again.
