MEMENTO HONORI — A Gathering for the Departed

It is said that around All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days, the veil grows thin.

A time when the spirits draw closer, when messages may be received, divination may be practiced, and the boundaries between worlds become a little less defined.

But above all, this is a time to remember.

To remember why we are here.
To remember those who came before us.
To remember the people, the stories, the lives and the love that made us who we are — and made it possible for us to breathe, live, and practice our own magic today.

If remembering feels, to you, like a way of honouring life itself, this gathering may be for you.

During these hours together, we will explore Italian folk traditions and regional customs connected to the days of November 1st and 2nd, discovering different ways in which the departed have been remembered, welcomed and honoured.

There will be a practical ritual, a moment of divination, and an offering at the altar.

We will gather, talk, laugh, perhaps cry, share stories, and make space for remembrance — in whatever form feels meaningful to each of us.

Each participant will also receive a small "Remembering Kit" to take home, so that on November 2nd you can continue the ritual in your own way, honouring your loved ones through your own personal practice.
