À propos de cet événement
This workshop is tailored towards pairs which tie together. One ticket is shared between a pair.
This workshop is designed for people who already know one single-column tie (any single column tie) and are wondering how to turn that one building block into an actual rope session.
This workshop addresses the potential gap between beginner fundamentals and practical rope sessions. It is a starting point from our perspective, for people who already have a basic understanding of a SCT and want to learn what comes next, both technically and conceptually.
The workshop is suited for tying pairs. Switching is allowed and will be facilitated throughout the class.
Workshop Content
We focus on developing the skills of both the tying person and the person in ropes. We will work on both rope technique and the broader experience of tying, with attention to communication, flow, body awareness, and interaction.
We will explore that through the following themes:
Technical Progression
We will build on the single-column tie and introduce a few classic next-step structures that are useful in many rope sessions. These will include:
* Double-column tie
* Futomomo
* Hands-in-front shapes
* Rope and Body Handling
Smaller points incorporated into the above depending on time (not) all will be covered:
* Handling rope with more confidence
* Creating a more connected and interactive tying experience
* How to arrive together in a rope scene
* How to set tone, intention, and pace
This workshop is for people who:
* Know a single-column tie
* Have maybe tied a little, but don’t yet know how to build a session
* Want practical next steps rather than excessively rope technical things
* Want to improve flow between them and their partner
This is not an absolute beginners workshop. Participants should already be able to tie a single-column tie confidently enough to use it during this workshop.
The workshop is intended for couples and the spoken language is only English
For both people, negotiating consent and being able to define what their own boundaries are in terms of rope bondage, and also comfort in being close physically and or emotionally with their partner.
